Dr. Nirmal Madhavan, a seasoned international research scientist and passionate mentor, has guided over 1,000 students toward making the right choices in education and career globally. Through his initiative on nutruting Indian International Researchers via the PhD PDF Scholarship and podcast sessions (https://www.youtube.com/@phd_pdfscholarship) , he offers counseling and provides opportunities for students to connect with industry experts, professors, and scientific communities worldwide.
With a strong academic foundation, including a Ph.D. from Australia in collaboration with Tata Steel Netherlands and a masters degree from IIT, Dr. Madhavan brings unparalleled expertise and insight to career counseling. He has worked on prestigious projects with organizations such as Tata Steel Netherlands, the Indian Navy - Scorpene Class Submarine (Ministry of Defense), AirBus Aerospace- France and is currently a leading scientist in a European green research organization.

The psychometric tests and the last recommended job positions were truly aligned with my personality. The interactive sessions with Nirmal Sir, were highly enlightening, and shed light on many aspects about the nature of my personality in detail. I felt that the results of my psychometric test were pretty accurate and the explanation given by Nirmal Sir on different components of personality increased the understanding about myself. It helped me to understand myself better. My next step is to find a suitable working environment that is aligned well with my nature. I approached CARISTRRA at a time when I was completely confused about my career direction. I knew I wanted to do something meaningful, possibly business-related, but I had no clarity on what exactly would suit me. The counselling session was extremely well-structured and insightful. Through the career assessment and one-on-one discussion, I was able to clearly understand my personality, strengths, interests, skills, and motivators. What I really appreciated was that the guidance was not generic it was practical, logical, and tailored specifically to me. The session helped me gain confidence in my abilities and showed me career and business options that genuinely align with who I am.
